Protect the people who matter. Today and tomorrow.
From life and mortgage insurance to disability and critical illness coverage, we help you choose protection that fits your family, your financial priorities and your stage of life.
Coverage we offer
Term life insurance
Coverage for a set period, such as 10 or 20 years, while you pay off your mortgage or raise your children. Premiums usually increase at renewal.
Permanent life insurance
Whole or universal life: coverage for life. Some policies also build a cash value that may receive favourable tax treatment, under the applicable rules.
Disability insurance
A monthly income if illness or injury keeps you from working, based on the policy’s definition of disability and waiting period.
Critical illness insurance
A lump sum if you’re diagnosed with an illness covered by the policy, such as certain cancers, a heart attack or a stroke.
Individual mortgage life insurance
With or without disability coverage, individual mortgage life insurance is a policy in your name. Compared with coverage offered by your lender, it may offer advantages:
- A competitive cost, depending on your age and health
- A premium that can be guaranteed for the term of the policy
- The benefit is paid to the beneficiaries you choose, not to the lender
- Coverage that can stay in place if you change lenders
Personal coverage that goes with you
Individual disability or critical illness insurance stays with you even if you change jobs. It’s especially useful for self-employed people and those without group insurance.
Depending on the policy, premiums may be guaranteed and a return-of-premium option may be available.
